New Clios take to the road

Car Cat B training

 

New AUTOMATIC Rigids

LTS rolled out the newest members of the training vehicle fleet. The Scania '4' Series Rigids have been replaced with AUTOMATIC transmissioned Scania 'P' Series.

As long as you passed your car test in a 'manual' you can now take your test in an AUTOMATIC LGV/PCV and drive both manual & automatic.

22nd ANNUAL AWARDS EVENING!

On Wednesday 3rd December 2014 we held our 22nd Annual Awards Evening at our Training Centre in Heysham to mark the achievements of the learners in the automotive and transport industry. AssistantTraining Manager, Lee Lawson, presented the awards and Apprenticeship Certificates. The night was a great success as usual. Every credit is to be given to those people who have completed an apprenticeship or course leading to a qualification. We have to offer our personal congratulations to individuas, parents and employers and a big thank you goes to the employers for your continued support. Well done to all and we look forward to seeing who will be on the stand next year.

Excellent OFSTED result

LTS achieved an overall grade 2 at it's recent OFSTED inspection

    Below is a summary of the views of learners as confirmed by inspectors. They like:-
  • the good training facilities
  • the excellent quality of the training
  • tutors’ understanding of the industry
  • practical training sessions in the workshop
  • the flexibility in the timing of assessments and reviews
  • being treated like an adult and with respect

Royal Stamp of Approval for IMI Awards
Outstanding Achievers

A big well done to Rebecca Wooff, from Main Street garage in Bolton Le Sands. Rebecca has been with Lancaster Training Services for the last two years, taking part on the Young Apprentice programme. The IMI are the awarding body for this programme and each year they host an awards ceremony where all the outstanding young people are recognised. This year Rebecca won the title of Outstanding Young Student beating approximately 30,000 other candidates from all around the UK.
