Fork Lift Truck

Training is conducted by ITSSAR/RTITB/IPAF Registered Instructors in accordance with the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive.

Fork Lift Truck/Lorry Loader operator training is available either at the Training Centre or on an employer’s premises.

Training Centre based Courses are undertaken on a Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck, Reach Truck, Pivot Steer or The Lorry Loader. Each training programme consists of practical and theoretical training covering all aspects of operation.

The Trainees are subject to practical and theoretical tests during the final day of the Course. Successful Trainees are awarded a Certificate of Competence to operate the equipment on which they were trained.

Training on an employer’s premises will only be undertaken where certain conditions prove suitable.

FLT & Lorry Loader

Re-Certification (FLT & Lorry Loader)

For the operator whose ‘ticket’ is over three years old.    1 day – £180.00 + VAT (£216.00 inc VAT)

Training now available on a Saturday for re-certification.  1 day – £280.00 + VAT per person (£336.00 inc VAT)

Semi-Skilled Operator – A & Reach Conversion (FLT & Lorry Loader)

For the competent operator whose main occupation is using a Fork Lift Truck but has never been trained and tested. 2 days £280+ VAT (£336.00 inc VAT)

Semi-Skilled Operator – B (FLT & Lorry Loader)

Similar to ‘A’ above but where the operator uses a Fork Lift Truck on a casual basis and will require a longer time to reach test standard.  2.5 days £330.00+ VAT (£396.00 inc VAT)

Novice FLT

For the new operator with no previous experience. 5 days £490.00 + VAT (£588.00 inc VAT)

Novice Lorry Loader

For the new operator with no previous experience. 3 days £380.00 + VAT (£456.00 inc VAT)

The training day for all courses is 8.00 am to 4.00 pm.

The fees for courses conducted on employer’s premises are subject to negotiation and will include the instructor’s expenses, travel, etc.
